Storm Damage Response
After a storm, it is vital to have your trees assessed and repaired in a timely manner after any damage is noted. Most severe damage consists of large broken branches, split crotches and/or removal of bark, and splitting or splintering of the trunk. Irreparable conditions include unstable root systems (uprooting trees), and breakage so significant that the tree is no longer structurally sound, nor aesthetically soothing.
Strong winds, lightning and heavy ice or snow storms are the most probable causes of all types of tree damage. When a tree is severely damaged, the first question that must be answered is: “Is the condition of the tree such that keeping it is worthwhile?” Dad’s Tree Service offers free tree inspections. As soon as you notice any damage to your tree, call and have us come out to inspect the tree, and determine sensible recommendations for your best course of action.
